Repair of damaged parts of geosynthetic clay liner(GCL)
During the process of laying / hanging the waterproof blanket, the damage caused by nail holes or other reasons should be properly repaired.
Repair method: if the damage is a nail hole, it can be closed with bentonite waterproof slurry. For other large damages, first use bentonite waterproof mortar to seal the damaged parts, and then cover with the same waterproof blanket to repair. The patch should be larger than the damaged edge 300mm and fixed with cement nails; meanwhile, the surrounding of the patch must be sealed with bentonite waterproof mortar.
